Patricia Montgomery took her first photograph as a small child holding her mother’s black, no-name box camera. Though always quite the snap-happy teen and young adult, Patricia’s love of photography flourished with the first click of a 35mm Canon A-E1 SLR film camera. Years later an astonishing new world of imagery revealed itself as she entered the world of artistic digital photography. She now totes a backpack with two digital cameras, a Canon 30D and an infrared-converted Canon 20D, along with an assortment of lens.
Traveling together for more than 20 years, Patricia and her husband have visited 41 states in the U.S. and all but 2 provinces in Canada with the goal of capturing images in the remaining ones over the next few years.
She lives in the small farm community of Cave Spring, Georgia with her husband and two dogs in a cozy retreat atop Buck’s Mountain. Surrounded by acres of forest, their closest neighbors include deer, turkey, rabbit, fox, coyote and the occasional bobcat.
With camera in hand, Patricia continually observes her surroundings through the viewfinder and with the click of the shutter, forever preserves what she sees through the glass.
Patricia is available for on-location family portraits, engagement or prom images, weddings, parties, or other events.
